Luke Morris
industrialist and philanthropist and, uh, a bicyclist.
I’m Luke Morris, 34 years old, born and raised in Ipswich, Australia. By trade, I work as an electrician & a communications/security technician. My day-to-day is hands-on, often technical & regular includes problem-solving, which suits me well as I enjoy the challenge of working with different facets of the trade to make them function as they should, and make the client happy.
Outside of work, my interests are a little different but equally detail-driven. I’m passionate about cycling, music, and especially film photography. I love researching different cameras & film stocks, watching my favourite YouTubers, understanding the different processes, and always keeping an eye out for the next great deal on Marketplace.
When it comes to film, what fascinates me most is not just the image itself, but the entire process from start to finish: the slower process overall, how light interacts with film, the steps it takes to bring that photo to life, and the unique character the process adds to photos.
I created this site as a way to share my thoughts, experiences, and experiments with film photography. It’s a space where I can document not only the technical side of shooting on film, but also the places I’ve been lucky enough to visit and capture. My goal is to provide insight and inspiration for anyone interested in photography, travel, or simply the joy of slowing down and appreciating the process behind creating something tangible and timeless.
